Even Death Can't Keep Them Apart
A man who calls himself Chadil Deffy on Facebook from Surin province married his deceased girlfriend, Anne. They were planning to get married after the new year, but she was hit by a car and died. They have been together for 10 years. Even death cannot keep their dream unfulfilled. He has posted the pictures on his Facebook titled "Corpse Bride".

Suicidal Gecko
I don't know what is it with geckos and car trunks. A poor unfortunate gecko was squashed between a taxi trunk door see here. And now this gecko is seen hugging very closely to another car trunk. Maybe this is the way geckos like to kill themselves??

World's Hairiest Girl Gets Her ID
With the new law requiring Thai children to have an ID card from the age of 7 a few weeks ago, Supattra Sasupan, world's hairiest girl according to The Guinness Book of Records, got her first ID card at the age of 11 years old.

Let's Confuse The Evil Spirits
There are many choices of stickers to decorate your precious rides. But there is one particular odd one that is not used for beautification. It is the sticker that says the color of that vehicle, but does not match the actual color of it. Confused? Here are some examples:

"And why do they have to do that?" You may think. Thai spirits are believed to be color blind, but obviously they are literate. Yes, that is the belief. It is also believed that certain people's luck or "duang" in Thai, go or do not go with certain colors. Let's say you have a black car, but the fortune teller "mho doo" says that black is a bad color and you match with yellow. Oh, No! Now what do you do?? Get a new car? Get it repainted yellow? No...you get a sticker that says "this car is yellow" and stick it at the back of your car, of course! You can call it "khae kret". It is also believed that if a vehicle has had an accident, by "stating" that it is another colored car, the "accident spirits" will think it is a new car and will not bring the driver more accidents. But this kind of sticker is not really popular with private sedans. Biggest fans are taxis and pick up trucks.

Nasty Squashed Gecko
Where will you find a large nasty looking gecko in Bangkok? At the back of a taxi, of course! A poor gekko was stuck in between the trunk door of a taxi. Ohhh...poor Mr. Gecko was squashed in half. Nas-tay! Wonder what it was doing. Hitching a free ride? I guess its taxi hiking days are over...
